About the event
Will you join our yearly The Green Mile cleanup?
On Friday, September 11, we’ll once again roll up our sleeves for the annual The Green Mile Cleanup.
It’s a morning where residents, local businesses, partners and neighbourhood enthusiasts come together to show that a great street doesn’t happen by itself. Armed with litter pickers, a smile and a little bit of time, we can make a visible difference for people, plants and wildlife.
At the end of the cleanup, we’ll gather at Hemonyplein, sort, count and weigh everything we’ve collected, and make sure it all finds its way into the underground waste containers.
But it’s about more than just picking up litter. It’s also a chance to meet neighbours, catch up with familiar faces and do something positive for the community together. We’ll provide all the equipment, along with coffee, snacks and good company. All you need to bring is your positive energy.
Every piece of litter counts — and together we can achieve a surprising amount in just a short time.
Start: 10:00 AM at the Rijksmuseum Gardens, beneath the shade sail at the rear of the gardens.
Finish: Around 11:30 AM at De Nederlandsche Bank, on the quay next to our EcoWals, weather permitting.
Together, we can make the city a little more beautiful.
Will you join us?
