Amsterdam is singing, can you hear it?
Between the traffic, the chatter and the city buzz… they’re whistling, birds! Maybe you’ve never really noticed them, but they’re there. And we’re here to help you listen. Trust us: once you do, a whole new world will open up.

The Green Mile has teamed up with Luistervink!
Open your ears to the secret sounds above
Meet Luistervink, a clever little device that uses AI to pick up bird sounds and tells you exactly who's singing, and how often. Day and night. You might even discover birds you never knew existed! Thanks to The Green Mile, Luistervink has landed in Amsterdam, with five sensors already up and running! Three are on The Green Mile itself, and now Artis Zoo and the Amsterdamse Bos have joined in too.
Soon, we’ll be able to compare data, uncover new insights, and see how greener cities impact our feathered friends. Imagine comparing birdlife across neighborhoods or even cities.
Who’s the queen of the Stadhouderskade? Which songbird rules Artis, and how does it compare to the Amsterdamse Bos? And did you know the world’s fastest bird hangs out near the Rijkstuinen? There’s a whole world of life above your head, hidden in the city’s green spaces. Listen, be amazed, and rediscover the city like you’ve never heard it before.

See (and hear) it for yourself at Luistervink.
