The Municipality of Amsterdam, The Rijksmuseum, Heineken, De Nederlandse Bank, the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, Blendingbricks, and UNStudio jointly explored a vision for Stadhouderskade in a workshop. This workshop is part of a Spatial Design Research program for Vital Cities and Villages, subsidized by the Stimuleringsfonds.
Through this program, (semi)public organizations are encouraged to commission spatial designers and researchers to conduct design research on the local implications of current challenges, including (circular) economy and climate change.
At the heart of this call are the spatial, socio-economic, and societal challenges that cities and villages within urban regions face due to the growth of these regions.
